Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English music producer and a singer. Jessie gained fame early for her unusual music style that blends soul and hip-hop, pop, and electropop. In addition to her many accolades, she was nominated for the 2011 "Critics Choice Brit Award" and BBC's Sound of 2011". Her professional career began when she was 11 years old when Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the musical Whistle Down the Wind. After that, she was a part of the National Youth Music Theater and was part of their 2002 production"The Late Sleepers,". It was 2011 with her first studio album 'Who You Are,' which was released on February 28. It was a massive success, selling 105,000 copies in the UK and 34,000 copies in the US in the first week of its launch. Jessie's album was also number two in the UK Albums Charts and was ranked eleventh in the US Billboard 200.
