Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as 14. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. In the age of 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd later went on to take down three opponents within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. Ladd took home the fight of the night bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. For a rematch She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was lost by majority vote.
