LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball professional who is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. King James, he's widely thought of as the best basketball player ever and is often is compared with Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketballer ever. James was awarded four NBA championships and four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs as well as the two Olympic medals. James is the player with the most points during playoffs and has and has the second highest number of career points and is seventh in assists in his career. He was named an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He was the 3rd player to compete in NBA Finals. Eight of those were consecutive from 2011 through 2018. James has been selected for an NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player to have scored 10,000+ points as well as rebounds and assists in his career in 2022. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. The national media praised him as a potential NBA superstar. He was a pre-profession player and chosen for the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. When he was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, he quickly established himself as a premier player in the NBA and was awarded the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010 James was a free agency in 2010, after he failed to win championships with Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent moves in sports history.
